Hey Folx -So, we’re off on a big tour again, but Barreled will still be going on tonight, showcasing some fine Bostonians. Please spread the tour info onto any friends in the midwest and Canada – we’d appreciate it! Ummm, we have a few new releases – we’ll be touring in support of our new Bottleskup Flenkenkenmike cd, as well as upcoming (sic) 7″ s from I-Sound and Donna Summer. We are very excited about these puppies –
fucking great shit and we’re not just whistlin’ Dixie and takin’ potshots in the Home Depot parking lot! Anyway, come on down to Barreled
tonight and please welcome us home at Halcyon and hear our stories. All extra info follows – enjoy your Halloween!

DJ Ripley
Jake Trussel, a.k.a. Electro Organic is one of the founding members of The Toneburst Collective a group of Bostonians who explored experimental
breaks and beats before such things existed in these parts, spawning such talents as DJ Rupture and Hrvatski. This night features Jake performing his break and hip hop influences live with two other Bostonian women who have grown out of the extinct Toneburst parties: Pamelia playing bass-crazy theremin sounds and Ripley’s ragamuffin dubwrecker set.

New Release – Out Now!
Bottleskup Flenkenkenmike
“Looks Like Velvet, Smells Like Pee” CD
BB009
released 10/15/02
Mr. Flenkenkenmike may be better known to the world as 1-Speed Bike.
After the success he’s had as drummer for Godspeed You Black Emperor! he bought a 15- speed bike and reverted to his real name for his second full-length outing. Combining samples of his live trap set drumming with dub effects and epic song lengths, Bottleskup has created a techno album unlike any other: a slowed-down, hypnotic live instrument affair still based around a 4-to-the-floor approach. And there’s even a Godspeed! remix to give us an idea of how two disparate projects can somehow share
the same person. Combine these elements with the trademark 1-Speed Bike political ramblings and absurd sense of humor and you have, well, something that looks like velvet and smells like pee!
